Annie Corredor
President
​

Annie Corredor joined La Paz Global in 2019, leveraging her experience in cross-cultural community building, business, and leadership in her community. As a long-time resident of Costa Rica, Annie supports students at La Paz Community School and has been instrumental in educating donors about La Paz Global's mission. Before moving to Costa Rica, Annie worked as a broker with Solomon Brothers and in business development with Oracle in the Chicago area. La Paz Global is thrilled to have her knowledge, energy, and perspective on the board. 

Anne Hipskind
​​Vice-president

Anne Hipskind holds a Master's in Social Work, she specializes in creating safe, inclusive schools that elevate youth voices, facilitate well-being, and serve the broader community. Over the past two decades, Anne has served on various leadership teams to address school climate, community engagement, positive behavior support, youth engagement, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. Anne is currently the founder and lead facilitator of TeachWell, LLC, an organization committed to educator well-being, mental health, and retention. She is a parent of La Paz Community School and deeply believes in the mission of La Paz.

Wayne Stoltenberg

As a parent of four school-aged children, Anna has first-hand experience of the impact that a quality, compassionate, and supportive educational environment can have on students. With over 14 years of experience serving in leadership capacities on parent councils and school committees, she has developed interpersonal and organizational skills to help schools manage crucial projects, fundraising campaigns, and supporting daily experiences to ensure that their students thrive.
​Wayne is a finance professional with over 15 years of investment banking experience focused on energy sector financings and mergers and acquisitions. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas and studied literature and economics at Columbia University. Wayne also served as CFO for several private equity-backed natural gas companies, including Vine Energy, Inc., which merged with Chesapeake Energy in 2021. Currently, on sabbatical, he is Chairman of the Board for a Dallas-based free-market think tank.

Enrique Berrocal
Board Member

Enrique A. Berrocal Salazar combines his extensive legal and business expertise to contribute significantly to our board. His background in financial services, risk analysis, and strategic consulting, alongside his academic achievements, including an MBA and specialized training in Digital Business, enriches our NGO's mission. Enrique's innovative approach and effective leadership in high-risk environments reflect his dedication to fostering change and advancing our goals. His experience in managing complex projects and creating value in diverse sectors makes him a vital asset to our team.

Letter from our Advancement Director

Thank you for your interest in La Paz Global. As a La Paz School Scholarship graduate,  I can personally attest to the profound impact of our organization. At the age of 12, I embarked on a journey to find my way to La Paz School. All the child in me wanted was a classroom with enough school materials and space to play. But what I received was beyond walls. After weeks of persistence, I was awarded a scholarship to the school thanks to the support of La Paz Global.

The education I received at La Paz pushed me to think critically, to ask questions, and most importantly, to act with compassion towards others, a virtue that is increasingly essential in today's polarized world. After completing my studies in economics and marketing at Marymount Manhattan College and earning a Masters in International Education Development from Columbia University Teachers College, I am now honored to serve as the Advancement Director for La Paz Global.

La Paz Global is a 501c3 partner organization (EIN# 42-1649091) that supports the scholarship fund at La Paz Community School. With the support of donors like you, we can continue to positively impact the lives of children, their families, their communities, and ultimately the world. By investing in the future of the next generations, we can reignite our sense of unity and shared humanity, and shift the landscape of education towards a more compassionate world.
