Our Connection

Rooted in Costa Rica while growing a global model.

Two organizations with one shared mission

La Paz Community School and La Paz Global work side by side, but we are not the same organization. La Paz Global is an independent nonprofit that raises funds, builds partnerships, and supports programs that allow La Paz Community School to deliver an inclusive, human-centered education to students from diverse backgrounds.

Why this partnership matters

La Paz Community School is a community-rooted learning environment where dual-language immersion, experiential learning, and socioeconomic integration come together every day in the classroom. To ensure this model remains accessible—especially in a country where public education is facing growing challenges—the school relies on La Paz Global for key support.

La Paz Global provides:

  • Scholarships and financial aid so economic barriers never limit a child’s access to learning.
  • Funding for programs and initiatives, including holistic education, student agency, and cross-cultural learning opportunities.
  • Resources and professional development that strengthen curriculum, innovation, and educator training.
  • Community integration opportunities that sustain a microcosm of globalization under one roof.

How we work together

La Paz Global is the school’s international fundraising and strategic partner. We collaborate closely with school leadership to understand needs, prioritize programs, and invest donor support where it creates the greatest impact. The school handles operations, teaching, and day-to-day programming while La Paz Global manages donor relationships, global partnerships, and long-term sustainability.

A model with local roots and global reach

Our partnership allows the school to flourish today while also helping us expand elements of its human-centered model to other learning communities in the future. By supporting La Paz Community School, donors also help La Paz Global share best practices, training, and resources with schools exploring more humane, student-centered approaches to education.
